Sunny Monday

The sun is out. This seems nothing short of a miracle lately. We still have snow on the ground and it is darn cold here. As you can see, my cats have stolen my reading area. Not that I have much time to read these days. But I am working (albeit slowly) on a really good book, The Help, by Kathryn Stockett. Not since The Secret Life of Bees have I felt involved with the characters like I do with this book. It is really well done.

But alas, I am so friggin' tired I have trouble staying awake to read. Seems like I hit the bed and instantly fall asleep. Last night I was nodding off at 8:30 and just decided go to bed early. I am in some kind of hibernation mode, do you think I am a bear? Luckily I woke up with a little more energy this morning and got a rigorous workout in. I am hoping I have finally caught up with my sleep???

I am headed into the studio today to organize my project for Great Day St. Louis tomorrow cause I'm gonna be on TV again, this time with a 'Save the Day' project oriented toward weddings although it could be done for any type event. I'll put up a link after it airs.

So many things on my ever-growing TO DO list. One thing that continues to pop up - I want to do another video as it has been quite a long time, a demo of some technique. Could be Paste Paper painting or Claybord or basic collage technique or who knows what. Any requests? Let me know, k?

  1. Your cats look quite comfy!! LOL!! I know what you mean about
hibernation. I have been feeling the same way lately! It must be the cold cold weather.
    Paste Paper would be good!!

  2. I was thinking the same thing this morning as I struggled to get out of bed. Bear mode for me too. Feels kind of good though when I just give itno it where I can. Did take a good long walk with the pooch this monring though - it was 31 degrees - not so bad !
I agree with SueAnn - paper paste would be a great tutorial !
Good luck with all your up coming projects !
    Big hugs !

  3. Thanks for the recomenndation of a good book. I loved Secret Life of Bees, too. Happy painting (or napping??!

  4. I loved Secret Life of Bees also. Sue Monk Kidd has a new book out, co-authored with her daughter, Traveling with Pomegranites. It was an ok read, but not great. So thanks for the book recommendation.

I vote for paste paper demo also. I love your papers.

  5. we all must be in a hibernating mode! I cant get up before daylight these days! your kitties have the perfect spot as we say here in toni's house and mine "smells like Mom" they are beautiful babies. lyle

  6. a dancing video...yes, dance for us please ?...or at least me !.....hee hee !

and if you're a bear in st. louis what do they call us here in wisconsin.....stupid, maybe ?

actually.....the cold has bothered me SO much less this year for some bitching hasn't even started yet.....
