Stay in your Skin

Acrylic, ink, collage on stretched canvas

  1. I'm sorry, MaryBeth... I mean this in the kindest, most loving way... but this is Yucky! Not your art - the girl. Is she actually proud to have killed that beautiful leopard? I don't like her. But I do like your color choice, texturizing, and other collage elements! Hugs, Shari

  2. I think my comments may have not come across in the light I intended. So for anyone else reading, I'll try again:

I LOVE MaryBeth's art - which includes, from time to time, art that "pushes the envelope", so to speak. I like that some of her pieces provoke a commentary about controversial subjects. I think that's what the best art does - it makes us feel strongly one way or the other. I'd hate to have someone look at something I did and just feel indifference. MaryBeth, your leopard-girl did provoke a reaction in me - and I love that it did that! I wouldn't change a thing and I LOVE this piece just as it is! Does that make better sense?
    Hugs, Shari

  3. Mary Beth-

Girl, another amazing piece! I don't know how to tell you what a wonderful "gut"reaction I have to your creations except to say- Keep it up!

    Yee Ha!
